Origin story
Tezos was designed by Arthur Breitman and Kathleen Breitman, with a 2014 whitepaper describing a blockchain that can upgrade itself through on chain voting. Its July 2017 fundraiser raised about 232 million dollars, then a record.
A dispute between the founders and the Tezos Foundation's first president delayed launch and led to class action suits. The network went live on June 30, 2018.
Founders: Arthur and Kathleen Breitman.
