Origin story
CRO is the token of Crypto.com, the exchange and card company founded by Kris Marszalek, which started as Monaco in 2016. CRO launched in late 2018 and later replaced the older MCO token.
Crypto.com launched Cronos, an Ethereum compatible chain built with the Cosmos SDK, in November 2021, the same month it bought the naming rights to the Los Angeles arena.
