Origin story
Celestia is a modular blockchain that focuses on data availability: it orders and publishes data for other chains and rollups rather than running smart contracts itself. Co founder Mustafa Al-Bassam wrote the LazyLedger paper it is based on.
Celestia's mainnet launched on October 31, 2023 with a TIA airdrop.
Founders: Mustafa Al-Bassam, Ismail Khoffi and John Adler.
