Origin story
Bitcoin Cash split from Bitcoin on August 1, 2017 at block 478,558, after years of debate over block size. Its supporters wanted bigger blocks so more payments could fit on chain at low fees.
In November 2018 Bitcoin Cash itself split again, when a faction led by Craig Wright and Calvin Ayre created Bitcoin SV.
Founders: A group of developers and miners favoring larger blocks; backed by Roger Ver and Jihan Wu.
