Origin story
Hyperliquid is a blockchain built around a fast on chain order book for perpetual futures trading. It was started by Jeff Yan, a former high frequency trader, and was self funded with no venture capital.
The HYPE token launched on November 29, 2024 with a large airdrop to early users, one of the biggest airdrops by value in crypto history.
