Origin story
Mantle grew out of BitDAO, a crypto investment DAO backed by the Bybit exchange. In 2023 BitDAO merged with its Mantle project and swapped the BIT token for MNT one for one.
Mantle Network, an Ethereum layer 2 rollup, launched its mainnet in July 2023.
Founders: BitDAO community, backed by the Bybit exchange.
