FTX collapse Nov 11, 2022
FTX, one of the largest crypto exchanges, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on November 11, 2022, days after reports about its sister trading firm Alameda Research triggered a run on deposits. Customer funds were missing, and founder Sam Bankman Fried was later convicted of fraud in New York in November 2023.
